Hiii friend! I so happy to talk about Ben & Jerry’s Free Cone Day 2025 because it such a fun day and who not love free ice cream? Ben & Jerry’s is big ice cream company from Vermont and they make so many yummy flavor like Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Phish Food. Every year they do this cool thing call Free Cone Day where you go to their shop and get free ice cream cone without pay anything! It so awesome and this year it happen today, April 8, 2025, because I write this on April 8, 2025, yay! I tell you all about it so you can enjoy too!
Free Cone Day start way back in 1979 when Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield open their first shop in Burlington, Vermont. They want to say thank you to people who like their ice cream and help them stay open after super cold winter. That year it so freezing, like 14 degree, and snow so much, 52 inch! They think maybe no one come, but people did, and Free Cone Day become big thing! Now it happen all over world, in more than 35 country, and they give away million of scoop. Last year in 2024, they give out over 1 million scoop, and this year they want to beat that! It so cool how it start small and now it huge party!
This year Free Cone Day on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, from 12 pm to 8 pm at Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shop. You just walk in any shop that do it and they give you free cone! No need to buy stuff or bring coupon, just go and pick flavor you want. They say you can get in line again and again if you want more, how fun is that? I wanna try Cherry Garcia because it have cherry and chocolate, then maybe Mango because it new and only in shop. They got so many flavor, like over 50, and even no-dairy one for people who not eat milk. You can check their website, benjerry.com, to find shop near you, it so easy!
I love how Ben & Jerry’s make this day special for everyone. They say it about saying thank you to fan, and they call us best fan ever! Dave Stever, he big boss, say it about happy time and joy. Sometime shop even help people, like give money to food bank or tree group, so it not just ice cream, it good too. Line can be long because so many people come, but it okay because you get free scoop and everyone smiling. My friend say last year she wait 30 minute but it so worth it because ice cream so tasty!
Today I go with my mom and brother to Scoop Shop near us. We get there at 2 pm and line not too big, maybe 10 people. Worker so nice, they laugh and scoop fast. I pick Mango and it so good, like fruit in my mouth! Then I go back and try PB S’more, it new with peanut butter and marshmallow, so yummy! My brother get Chunky Monkey and he say it best. We sit outside and eat because it sunny today, April 8, 2025, and it feel like big fun day. I see little kid and big people all eating free cone, it so happy!
Ben & Jerry’s got lot of flavor for everyone. They have classic like Vanilla and fun one like Impretzively Fudged with pretzel. They even make no-dairy for people who not like milk, so nice! Free Cone Day not just here, it in place like Australia and Japan too! Last year in London, someone so excited they leave key behind, so funny! It show how much people love this day and come together for ice cream. I think it so cool how they do this every year and make it big deal.
Free Cone Day 2025 so awesome because it today and I already have fun! It make me happy to get free ice cream and see people enjoy. Ben & Jerry’s say they want to give out more than 1 million scoop this year, and I hope they do! It like big thank you from them to us, and I feel good. What you think about Free Cone Day?
